The Rift.

In the Yucatan Peninsula, scientists make a startling discovery; there is a huge rift in the ocean floor emitting vast amounts of energy. Two research teams are sent to investigate and they mysteriously disappear. A request for assistance is made by their chief scientist Jenna Carter, to the United States Navy, which prompts them to send their latest and most sophisticated ballistic missile submarine, the Barracuda, commanded by Captain Samuel Pike to investigate the phenomena. Captain Pike is aided by Jenna Carter and a new research team.
Upon investigating, the civilian research submersible is also drawn into the energy rift. Captain Pike makes a split second decision taking the Barracuda and following them into the rift.
What they discover is beyond belief, they find themselves back in time - sixty five million years, when dinosaurs ruled the earth…or so we thought.
They discover the grim reality, that a hostile alien race is terraforming the Earth to fit their needs. Things then become considerably worse as the alien race soon discovers the rift exists and plans for an all-out invasion begin.
Now, the Barracuda and her crew under all odds must find a way to stop the invasion, close the rift and hopefully...return home.
